Solo photo exhib held at CU

A two-day-long solo photo exhibition of Kingshuk Partha, a former student of Communication and Journalism, ended at University of Chittagong on Wednesday last.Around 50 photos featuring natural beauty and uniqueness of Chittagong University captured by Kingshuk Partha, working as a freelance photojournalist of various national media, were displayed at the exhibition held at Bhuddijibi Chattor.
Earlier, on April 2, 2019, Pro-VC of Chittagong University Prof Shirin Akter inaugurated the photo exhibition as the chief guest while Assistant Prof Shudipta Sharma was present, among others. Boggy and TrendFreck cooperated to organize the exhibition. He already participated in more than 30 national and international photo exhibitions and got recognition for his photos.
So far, Kingshuk Partha’s photo was exhibited at UN headquarter marking United Nations Day on October 24, 2018 which was awarded under Quality Education Section of SDGs Student Photo Contest-2017 jointly organized by Department of Global Communications of UN and Sophia University of Japan.
Taking about photography, Partha said, “I had a passion in photography from my childhood. When I was a student of class five, I started taking pictures by a camera bought with my scholarship money.”
Since then, it takes times to understand the photography as a means of silent weapon of protest, he added.
Love to work with street children and still inventive to freeze the changing angle of vision through the viewfinder with his camera lens, he said, “After taking admission at Communication and Journalism Department of University of Chittagong, I started to understand the story behind the picture. Get started with topic based tasks.”
