Solo music album of Debashish launched

The first solo music album titled “Prothom Chumur Dibbi”(promise of the first kiss) of Debashish Somadder was launched at Shahid Rahman auditorium of Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association here on Thursday.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, prominent social worker and cultural activist Ferdous Ara Khanam, country director of Melodia Vista Mahfuzul Islam, cultural personalities and senior leaders of Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association, among others, addressed the launching ceremony with Director General of Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) Shah Alamgir in the chair.
Describing old Bengali songs as extra-ordinary creative works, Noor said, “These songs still touch our minds and hearts even after a long period of time. But such type of Bengali songs is not produced now.”
“I hope that the music album of Debashish Somadder will enrich our Bengali songs,” he added. The minister called for producing creative and heart-touching Bengali songs to enrich country’s music industry.
Debashish is an endowed singer-composer-lyricist born in a culturally enriched family on December 1, 1975.
He produced a huge number of concepts and tunes for world renowned organisations including World Diabetes Foundation, Euroconsult Mott MacDonald, Netherlands, Britain to Bangladesh Land, Britain, Candle Night, Canada and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, Switzerland.
Country director of Melodia Vista said 50 percent profit of the music album will spend for humanitarian services through Somadder Welfare Foundation and CD of the album will be available from September 1. It will also be available on www.melodiavista.com.
