Solar lamps given among 313 poors in C’nawabganj

Non-government organization Agriculture Sustainable for Socio Economic Development Organization (ASSEDO) distributed solar lamps among the school going children of 313 poor families at remote Alatuli union under Chapainawabganj sadar upazila on Saturday.
ASSEDO distributed the solar lamps with a view to expanding education among poor communities of the area under its Nodi O Jibon-2 project with the assistance of Concern Worldwide from the Bangladesh Bank’s CSR fund.
During the distribution, DC of Chapainawabganj Mohammad Jahangeer Kobir as Chief Guest, deputy director of Bangladesh Bank AHM Rafiqul Islam, assistant director Samina Jahan, sadar upazila social service officer Hamidul Islam, upazila rural development officer Shamsuzzaman, president of Local Char Alliance Shahjahan Ali, project coordinator of Nodi O Jibon-2 project of ASSEDO Rubel Talukdar, coordinator of Advocacy Partner Unnayan Samannya and president of Rajshahi Journalists Union Aktarul Hasan Millat, president of Godagari Upazila Press Club AK Tota and chairman of Alatuli UP Khoaj Ali spoke. Besides, executive director of ASSEDO Engineer Rabiul Islam, project coordinator Mahbub Jaman Tapon, project manager Nurul Islam Poltu were also present.After the distribution, the guests visited Alatuli Sarkerpara CBO Pre-primary School, group activities, nakshi kantha, goat rearing, vegetables farming at home stead, demo of field crops, demo plots of vegetables and different income increasing activities.
Mentionable that there is no electricity in this union.
