Midfielder of Bangladesh Football team Sohel Rana wants to clinch the championship trophy of the Tri-nation football tournament, which will be held in Nepal. After completing the training session at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday Sohel Rana said, ” We shall go to Nepal to clinch the championship trophy of the Tri-nation football tournament. We want to win the title marking the birth centenary of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.”
Bangladesh Football team will leave the city for Nepal today to take part in the Tri-nation football tournament. The tournament will begin on March 23.
Sohel said, ” As we took part in the Bangladesh Premier League Football, our Head Coach Jamie Day’s attention is to recovery of us. Jamie Day is working with passing, tackle and finishing. Day will learn us the technical things in Nepal. He will work the with the weak and strong points about the opponent players of the participating teams in the Tri-nation football tournament.”
Rana said, ” As we shall arrive in Nepal early, we shall try to adapt with the condition of Nepal. Nepal is a hilly country. So, it is tough to breath normally there. Besides, Nepal is cold country. So, we shall try to adapt with the condition of Nepal as soon as possible. We shall try to start our Nepal campaign with a good note.”
He also said, ” I have an expectation that we shall clinch the trophy of the Tri-nation football tournament. We shall go there to fulfill our target.”
Meanwhile, Head Coach of Bangladesh Football team Jamie Day said, ” The tournament will favour Bangladesh to form a good side for the upcoming matches of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers 2022 and AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers 2023.”
When asked Sohel to comment about the Head Coach’s target, he said, ” Jamie said about the matches of the qualifiers. We have experienced players and promising players. So, Jamie Day will form a good team with the experienced and promising players and a plan to take part in the tournament. We shall play according to his plan and will clinch the championship trophy of the Tri-nation football tournament.”
It may be mentioned that Bangladesh, Nepal and Kyrgyzstan Under-23 Football team will take part in the Tri-nation football tournament.
