Social Entrepreneurship Summit on Feb 3

The first Social Entrepreneurship Summit to be held in Dhaka on 3 February.
The Youth School for Social Entrepreneurs (YSSE) is going to organise a daylong event at Emmanuelle’s New Hall where social entrepreneurs will meet and network with each other in the summit.
The Youth School for Social Entrepreneurs (YSSE) is a youth led non-government organization dedicated to eradicate extreme poverty and solve youth unemployment problem by empowering youth and women through social entrepreneurship.
About 500 participants will get to take lessons on innovation, and financial, technical, environmental and other aspects of social entrepreneurships from noted entrepreneurs and mentors of the country.
To inspire Bangladeshi youth towards social entrepreneurship and empower them to act as agents of positive social and environmental changes in future Digital Bangladesh, the summit aims.
State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak will inaugurate the summit as the Chief Guest while Engineer Md Abdul Awal, Founder and Managing Director of The Structural Engineers Ltd, will attend as the special guest.
Norway Ambassador Sidsel Bleken, Nahim Razzaq MP, member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Youth and Sports and convener of Youth Bangla, are also expected to be present at the event.
Mahmudul Hasan Sohag, CEO of Onnorokom Group, Monsurul Aziz, head of enterprise design at Toru Institute of Inclusive Innovation, and Md Saimum Hossain, co-founder and head of business at GEEKY Social, will also speak at the event.
It will open pathways for young people to collaborate with idols, business tycoon, career coaches and successful social entrepreneurs, YSSE has said in the statement.
