Members of 28 Border Guard Battalion Bangladesh (BGB) have raided Sunamganj Sadar upazila and seized smuggled goods worth Tk 700,000 along with foreign liquor on Friday morning.
Sunamganj-28 Border Guard Battalion (BGB) Headquarters Media cell said, the BGB patrol team of Dulura BOP in Sadar upazila seized 35 bottles of foreign liquor from Kapana area.
On the same morning, the BGB patrol team of Baganbari BOP of Doarabazar upazila of the district seized 2 lakh 52 thousand pieces (10 thousand 80 packets) of Indian Nasir bidi and 7cows from Rajapur area.
BGB’s commander of Sunamganj area Lt. Colonel Md. Maqsudul Alam said the estimated value of the seized liquor, bidi and cattle was about Tk 7,25,000.
