Dr Muhammad Farasuddin and KM Mujammel Haque
were re-elected as President and Secretary General of Dhaka University (DU) Salimullah Muslim Hall Alumni Association (SMHAA) for the next two years.
A 51-member executive committee, including president and secretary
general, was elected at the annual general meeting of the association. The
meeting was held at the Statistics Building Auditorium in the city’s Agargaon
area on May 20.
A 50-member advisory council, including Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul
Muhith, was also elected at the function.
Moreover, a new post named ‘Chief Patron’ was created at the meeting.
Chairman of Southeast Bank Limited Alamgir Kabir was elected for the post.
