Police recovered the slaughtered body of a man in Chardighipar area of the city yesterday morning.
The deceased was identified as Ibrahim Abu Khalil, 55, son of Sad Uddin Al Habib, a resident of the area.
The deceased’s son Sajid Uddin said family members spotted the body lying in a pool of blood on the floor of their house in the morning.
Informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station Sohel Ahmad said Ibrahim might have been killed by miscreants sometime on Sunday night.
