The Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges along with Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy took up the initiative to organise a theme song for Padma Bridge. The inaugural
ceremony for Padma Bridge is set to take place on June 25 and noted singers including Ankhi Alamgir, Kishore, Rajib, Sabbir Zaman, Konal and Zhilik lent their voices for the theme song of the country’s largest bridge, said a press release.
Renowned artistes including Sabina Yasmin, Rafiqul Alam, Kumar Bishwajit, Rezwana Choudhury Bannya, Momtaz Begum, Dilshad Nahar Kona, Bappa Mazumder, Imran Mahmudul and Nishita Barua also performed in the song. The eminent artistes took pictures at the Padma Bridge. The theme song beautifully connects the emotions of billions of the people with the opening of the largest bridge in the country. The lyrics of the song are: Tumi obichol, dreero protiggo – tumi dhumketu, Bangabandhu diyechhen desh, tumi dile Padma Setu.
The song was recorded at MyTV’s recording studio and the entire music video was shot at the Padma Bridge, which will be released on BTV soon.
