Police have arrested six brokers on charges of obstructing patients, their relatives and intimidating them in various ways.
The arrested are Chadikul Islam (25), Ekramul Haque (56), Syed Munna Mia (52), Palashur Rahman alias Palash (52), Yasin Islam alias Joy (42) and Haider Ali (48). All of them are residents of Rangpur city.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Metropolitan Police Uttam Prasad Pathak confirmed the information in a press release sent to the media on Saturday (December 26) afternoon.
He said that on the basis of secret information, detective police conducted a raid in front of Good Health Hospital, Update Diagnostic Center, Sonar Bangla Clinic, Popular and Sarak Bhaban in Dhap area of the city on Saturday.
Eight members of the gang were arrested while deliberately obstructing the service recipients and their relatives, intimidating them, intimidating them and arguing with them.Patients and their relatives who come to Rangpur Medical College Hospital and various clinics and diagnostic centers for medical treatment are facing various middlemen.
The police official also said that the members of this gang of brokers sometimes try to take the patients and their people from different doctors and clinics to other clinics by using various temptations.He also said that legal action would be taken against the members of the arrested brokers and they would be sent to jail through the court.
