Sitting in France, man planned to steal gold from a Dhaka shop

DMP’s detective police have arrested a man, recovered Tk 950,000, and unravelled the mystery of organised robbery in a gold shop of the capital’s Kachukhet.
Police said that the gang was involved in multiple thefts and crimes in and around the capital city.
According to police sources, the ring leader stays in France, pays the primary cost of committing theft to the gang members in the country.
On Saturday, the Detective Police of Mirpur Division recovered stolen gold, imitation jewelery as well as money from a man who was arrested in Kadda of Gazipur.
The arrested person was identified as Manjurul Hasan Shamim (38).
Earlier, the zonal team of the Mirpur division of the detective police conducted a special operation with the help of secret  
information and technology and arrested him. It is to be mentioned that around 1 am on the 5th February of this month, 300 vori of gold, imitation jewelery and cash were stolen from Rangapari Jewelers on the ground floor of Rajnigandha Tower in the old Kachukhet of Bashantech Police Station.
A case was filed against the unidentified persons at Bhashantek police station.
During the preliminary interrogation, arrested Shamim told the police that two members of the gang, Masood and Ilias, used fake names and identities to work as security guards and sweepers in the market. They used to supply information to other members of the gang continually as their plan.
On the day before the incident, another member of the gang, Shaheen Master, rented a shop in the market and entered the lock-breaking equipment to the market on a special table in the name of picking up goods.
At around 1 am on that night of the incident, two more members of the gang, Srikanth and Raja Mia (a lock-breaking mechanic) entered the market.
Later, Masood, Elias, Srikanth and Raja Mia left the market at around 5 am with stolen gold, jewelery and money. After stealing, they took the stolen goods to their previously rented house in Hasnabad area of Keraniganj.
Shaheen Master, a member of the gang, and detained Manjurul Hasan Shamim were staying in the same house since earlier.
At around 10 am of next day, Srikanth returned home with the money after selling the stolen gold to a local known gold trader. Later, they shared all the money and imitation jewelery among themselves and left the house to go into hiding.
