UNB, Sirajganj :
A man was killed and 17 others were injured in a clash between two rival groups over land-related dispute at Atbangla village in Shahjadpur upazila on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Mafij Uddin, 65, a resident of the village.
Locals said there was a long standing conflict between one Abdus Sattar and Asadul of the village over the ownership of a piece of land.
They locked into an altercation over the issue in the afternoon, leading to a clash.
Equipped with sharp weapons they attacked each another that left Mafij, a supporter of Asadul group, dead on the spot and 17 others injured.
