Siddikur makes cut in Panasonic Open

Bangladesh celebrity golfer Siddikur Rahman successfully made cut in the race of the US$ 1.37 million Panasonic Open Japan after carding one-under-par 70 in he 2nd round held at Chiba Country Club, Umesato Course on Friday.
Aggregating even-par 142, Siddikur clearly nine stroke behind the leader Jason Knutzon of USA who traded two-under-par 69 in the 2nd round to maintain the leadership.
Three sweet birdies in the 2nd round on the day greatly helped Siddikur level the par, following his one-over-par 72 in the 1st round on Thursday where he carded one birdie and two bogies.
The two-time Asian Tour winner Sidikkur, who is the only Bangladesh golfer taking part in the meet, jumped up to the joint 46th place from joint 60th.
He started the day’s 1st session with a birdie to put the 1st hole, but downed with a misfortune bogey in the 2nd hole. He again bounced back with two consecutive birdies in the 10th and 11th holes of the 2nd session where he traded a bogie to put the 16th hole.
A total of 61 golfers, out of 138, survived in the race after the cut round.
