Celebrated Bangladeshi golfer Siddikur Rahman, now fully free from injury, has said he hopes to get back on the winning track in the True Thailand Classic Presented by Back Mountain, will begin today (Thursday) at the Black Mountain Golf Club in Hua Hin, Thailand. “I will enjoy this week. I’m injury-free and I just need to play good golf and get back on the winning track,” Siddikur Rahman told Asian Tour. “I’m very happy to be back here at Black Mountain. The views here are stunning and there’s not many golf course in the world that can beat this” h said.
Siddikur Rahman had a frustrating performance in the recently concluded Maybank Malaysian Open at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club after two successful tournaments at home last month. Bangladesh’s Siddikur Rahman is having the time of his life especially with his recent marriage and being declared injury-free. The Bangladeshi opened up about his personal life and how he is looking forward to a fantastic week at the inaugural True Thailand Classic presented by Black Mountain.
He said: “I’m really happy that it (the wedding) finally happened. I’ve known Auroni (wife) for a long time. “Both our families had discussed our marriage preparations about a year ago. But we didn’t invite many people last month as we wanted it to be a very small and private first. “We’ve got our main wedding reception coming up in June. I’ll have more time to invite all my family and friends then.”
Siddikur said: “I met her (Auroni) on the golf course. She actually has a single handicap and she’s good for me. She’s not only a boost in my personal life but also my career as she knows her golf and gives me a good test from time to time.”
