Miscreants on Wednesday gunned down a leader of Shwecchashebok League, a volunteer wing of the ruling Awami League, at Shampur union under Kadamtali thana in the capital. The deceased was identified as Riazul Islam Lalu, 35 of the area. The incident took place at the area at around 7.15 pm in front of his own sand shop on the day. Locals then took him to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead.
