The High Court on Tuesday asked the government to shut a website and a facebook link having contents defaming Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM).An HC bench comprising Justice Naima Haider and Justice Mustafa ZamanIslam passed the order after hearing a writ petition filed by Arifur Rahman, a reporter of the Daily Al Ihsan.The court directed the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) and others concerned to execute the order within 30 days.The HC also issued a rule upon the authorities concerned to explain as to why directives should not be given to shut the two website Dharamkari and a related facebook link for containing defamatory write-ups about Prophet Muhammad (SM).
