Twenty physicians of Chittagong General Hospital(CGH) have been issued with show cause notice for not attending the duty place within schedule time .
Following the directives of the Additional Secretary of Health & Family Planning Ministry Biman Kumar Saha, Civil surgeon of Chittagong issued this show causes on Sunday evening. Addl. Secretary also asked the CGH authority to deduct one day’s salary from their month salary, CGH sources said.
Sources said Additional secretary Biman Kumar Saha came on instant visit in CGH at about 9 am on Sunday and found 20 physicians out of 83 remained absent in duty.
Civil Surgeon and Superintendent of CGH Dr. Sarfaraz Khan chowdhury told the media that 20 physicians could not attend their duties in schedule time as such following the instructions of the addl. Secretary, show cause noltices have been issued to them.
