BNP Joint Secretary General Habib Un-Nabi Khan Sohail has demanded Bangladesh Chatra League(BCL) exe President Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon and Secretary General Golam Rabbani are to be brought under the law.
Because of they were recently released from the post of President and General Secretary of the BCL on various charges including extortion.
He said this in a human chain demanding the release of its Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, the programme organized by the Jatiyatabadi Matshajibi Dal in front of the National Press Club on Sunday.Sohail said, “It is not only to depose them. They are criminals, they have to be judged. Students who have stigmatized the history of politics must be brought under the law. They will not be judged, it cannot be.” “We have seen that even after being sentenced, many other leaders, including Nazmul Huda, Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya has released on bail. But through the court’s judgment, our leader Begum Khaleda Zia has been sentenced and imprisoned. She did not get bail. Is its name justice?” He added. Addressing the Prime Minister, sohail said, “Stop the politics of vengeance. Immediately release Begum Khaleda Zia. When people go to the people’s court to enforce their judgment, there is no such power in the world, then your trial can be withheld.”
