Shohag Gazi banned from all sorts of int’l competitions

Sports Reporter :Off-spinner Shohag Gazi of Bangladesh has been banned from all sorts of international cricket competitions as his bowling action was found illegal by the International Cricket Council (ICC).The promising off-spinner was reported in the recently concluded West Indies series. Then he went to Cardiff in United Kingdom last month to participate in the bowling test.In his bowling test, Shohag Gazi’s bowling action was illegal, according to ICC. Thus he has been banned from all kinds of international cricket competitions.The CEO of BCB Nizamuddin Ahmed said to a website on Wednesday, “Shohag Gazi’s action is over the 15-degree mark. The ICC hasn’t yet told the BCB the next course of action.”The ICC has been quite strict with the issue of suspect actions and has already banned Pakistan’s Saeed Ajmal and Sri Lanka’s Sachithra Senanayake among others after both were found guilty of straying the 15-degree flex rule.
