In first week of October, shooting of noted director Saidul Anam Tutul’s second movie Kalbela is scheduled to begin. Story of the film was taken from Ain O Salish Kendra published a book titled Nari’r 71 O Juddhoporoborti Kothhyokahini.
In that book, repression of women and tales of those women were portrayed. From those stories, director Tutul will portray repression of a woman named Sanjida in his movie Kalbela. This movie will be made under the government-grant.
Shishir and Tahmina Othoi have been finally selected to cast in lead two roles named Motin and Sanjida in that movie. Director Saidul Anam Tutul confirmed this yesterday.
While talking in this regard Tutul said, “To play the roles of Motin and Sanjida, Shishir and Tahmina Othoi are perfect. So, I have taken them for my movie. Shishir has been acting in TV plays and movies for many days. I believe Kalbela will be a big platform for him. On the other hand, this movie will be first movie for Othoi.”
Shishir said, “Earlier, I worked in many movies but it is obviously a great platform for me to act in Tutul Sir’s Kalbela which will help me to step forward in the long run for me. I am grateful to him (Tutul) in this regard.”
Tahmina Othoi shared her feelings by this way, “I have tried to establish myself in acting. For this reason, I have been attached with acting during childhood. My dream in acting is growing up like own maturity by age. By acting I can contribute myself in the field of cultural arena. It will be really a great achievement for me to act in Kalbela. It is really a great luck for me to get the opportunity to work under Tutul Sir.”
It is mentioned that Tahmina Othoi won the crown of ‘World Miss University Bangladesh-2017’ contest.
Othoi starrer first TV play was Mostafa Monon’s Golapjan Chhatri Nibash. Now she is regularly hosting Banglavision’s show Din Protidin.
