Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been tested positive for coronavirus. So, Shakib Al Hasan could not play the first Test match against Sri Lanka. The first Test match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be held at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram from May 15 to May 19.
Physician of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Dr Monzur Hussain Chowdhury said, ” Shakib Al Hasan returned to the country yesterday. After that, he has been tested positive for coronavirus. He is now isolated and staying at home. He has to stay at least five day’s in isolation. Then, he will undergo in coronavirus test again. So, he has no chance to play in the first Test.”
