Shipyard owner flees deceiving Tk 286 cr

Shipbreaking yard owner of Sitakkunda in Chittagong Giasuddin Kusum has escaped from Chittagong deceiving a number of ship-breaking traders and bank fund very recently.
After his disappearance from the yard site, 3 corruption case so far lodged before the Sitakunda thana for deceiving the huge amount of money.
 On Tuesday , the last case was filed by Marine Safety Ltd for deceiving Tk.37.34 cr , Sitakunda police sources said. Manager of the Marine Safety Ltd of Madarbibir hat under Sitakkunda Upazila filed misappropriation case against Giasuddin. Sources said accused Giasuddin received Tk.37.34 crfrom Marine Safety Ltd with pledge to supply marine items of oceangoing vessels Ratherhe fled away abroad from country without fulfillment of his commitment. Following his disappearance from Market, Manger of Marine Safety MirajAhmed lodged the case .
Officer incharge of Sitakunda thana Md. Iftikhar Hasan told tht after disappearance of shipyard owner , 3 misappropriation cases have been lodged before this thana so far. The 3 cases so far filed by Bank Asia for Tk.102 cr, Chittagong Enterprises Tk.30cr and Marine Safety Tk.37.34 cr.
Besides, these suit lodger, a number of debtors could not filed any case against the escapee for lack of proper documents but these amount is expected more than 100crore taka.
Eyewitnesses sources said , Bank Asia, ABBank, and Jamuna Bank hanged their respective signboard in front of his shipyard at Madambibirhat claiming the liabilities against the shipyard owner.
