Shakhir Hossain Shuvro hit a century of 126 runs for Shinepuker Cricket Club’s victory of seven wickets against Young Pegasus Club in the one-dayer of the Dhaka First Division Cricket League at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur on Saturday.
Young Pegasus batted first to score 212 for all in 50 overs.
Shinepuker registered the victory scoring 217 for 3 in 47 overs, including Tawhid Hridoy’s half century of 68 runs.
In another league match at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) Ground 3, City Club outplayed Dhanmondi Progoti Sangha by seven wickets.
Dhanmondi PS scored 152/10 in 45 overs with Shahariar Islam Sumon’s half century of 57 runs. City Club chased down the target scoring 156/3 in 38.4 overs, including a half century of 69 runs by Abu Bakker Siddiq.
Meanwhile, Kalindi Krira Chakra secured a five-wicket victory against Surjo Torun Club at BKSP Ground 4.
Surjo Torun scored 193/10 in 49.4 overs.
Kalindi KC reached the target scoring 194/5 in 47 overs, including Moklesur Rahman’s brilliant innings of 76 runs.
At Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium-outer (KSOAS) in Fatullah, Orient Sporting Club upset Azad Sporting Club by 4 wickets.
Azad SC scored 202/6 in 50 overs with Saed Md Adnan’s 51 runs.
Orient SC chased down the winning target scoring 203/6 in 47.2 overs, spurred by Abul Basar’s dazzling innings of 92 runs.
Uttara Sporting Club beat Rapid Foundation by two wickets at KSOAS.
Rapid Foundation scored 201/9 in 50 overs, including Mosaddek Iftekhar’s half century of 54 runs. Uttara SC sealed the win scoring 204/8 in 49.5 overs with Shariful Islam Shaikot scoring 65 runs.
