Shilpi Sarker Apu is a renowned actress of TV dramas. Besides acting in TV dramas, she has been passing busy times with acting in movies. Recently her acting was appreciated in Hasib Rahman directed a short film titled Matrittwo O Maa Dibosh, which was made on the occasion of International Mother’s Day. Therefore, Apu’s acting was also appreciated in last Eid in Rakesh Basu’s Rokto and Sagor Jahan’s Sheshta Annorokom Chhilo. Apart from acting in TV screen, Apu also worked in three movies recently. These are: Hridy Haque’s government-grant movie 1971 Seisob Din, Niamul Mukta’s Rokto Joba and Saiful Islam Mannu’s Payer Chhap. According to her, she acted in leading roles in all these movies. Few days ago, Apu acted drama serial Amma was telecasted in a TV channel where she acted in the title role. Now she is acting in three drama serials – Sajjad Hossain Dodul’s Jomidar Bari on Boishakhi TV, Habib Shakil’s Shot Maa on NTV online, and Shamim Zaman’s Priyojon on Maasranga TV. Apu said, “While taking part in shooting of a serial my mother was died few days ago. I went to Netrokona to see my mother’s face for the last time. I lost my mother forver. But I was committed to go to her for meeting. Now I cannot get any phone call from her during shooting. I feel bad in this regard. Despite having sadness I have been taking part in shooting of dramas and movies now. In the meantime, I got response for acting in several
projects. I have already finished shooting of three movies. These works really became superb. I am optimistic about these works.”
Shilpi Sarker Apu herself is also a playwright. Her husband Noresh Bhuiyan is a noted journalist, playwright and actor. Her son Yash Rohan is a promising actor.
