Veteran actress Shilpi Sarkar Apu, who back in 1985 worked in a television commercial (TVC) as a model for the first time, has once again performed as a model in the new TVCs.
After working in two TVCs directed by Adnan and Piplu recently, Sarkar Apu has worked in yet another new TVC recently. She has performed as a model in the TVC of a mobile phone company under the direction of Niloy, where young model and actress Toya is her co-artiste.
On the other hand, Apu is going to act in a new film titled Devi, which will be the first film produced by Joya Ahsan. Apu will play a special character in the film.
While talking about working in new TVCs and new film Shilpi Sarkar Apu told this correspondent, “I liked the concept of new TVC. I hope it will be liked by viewers. Besides, I am going to act in the film ‘Devi’; but I cannot reveal much about the character right now. I am grateful to the Team Devi for considering me as a part of the film.”
Moreover, Apu is waiting for the release of her two new films; these are Gias Uddin Selim directed Swapnojal and Animesh Aich’s Bhoyonkor Sundor.
Apu informed that she has played as the mother of actress Pori Moni in Swapnojal, while she played as a querulous slum dweller in Bhoyonkor Sundor.
Several drama serials starring her in the important roles are presently being aired on different TV channels; these are Nazrul Islam Raju’s Sunflower on Ntv, Golam Sohrab Dodul’s Songsar on Ntv, Mostafa Monon’s Palki on Deepto TV.
