The five-day 43rd National School-Madrasa Summer Sports Tournament of Sherpur Region concluded at Shaheed Muktijoddha Smriti Stadium here on Monday.
In football, GK Pilot High School emerged champions beating Kusumhati High School by 1-0 goal.
In handball, Govt. Victoria Academy became champion in boys’ handball beating Bhimganj High School by 6-0 goals while Sherpur Govt Girls High School clinched the girls’ handball title beating Afsar Ali Ideal Girls High School by 4-3 goals.
In Kabaddi, Kazirchar Gausia Madrasa clinched the boys’ title beating Bhimganj High School by 33-15 points while Afsar Ali Ideal Girls High School emerged champions in girls’ group beating Sherpur Govt Girls High School by 25-16 points.
In swimming, GK Pilot High School emerged champions in boys’ group while Sherpur Govt Girls High School in the girls’ section.
Deputy Commissioner of Sherpur Mohammad Zahir Hossain distributed the prizes among the winners.
