Minister inaugurates automation: Applications to Rajuk now only thru online

Citizens of the capital now have to submit applications to Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) through online only to get land development certificates and approval of building designs.
The Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim on Thursday inaugurated automation systems for those services in Rajuk.
“To avoid lengthy process and harassment, the automation system started its journey from today. The citizens need to submit their applications through online from their houses. The applications also will be resolved through online.”
The Ministers said, “Now the citizens have not to go to Rajuk to get permission to construct buildings or to get building designs approved. They will submit applications through online and will not be required to move from table to table. They will get those services staying their own homes now.”
According to the automation systems, the clients now can get information about their applications that in which stage it is staying now. They need to register their names one time in online.
If anyone face any hurdles during submitting applications through online they can make a phone call in certain hotline of the Rajuk.
Which papers were supposed to submit as hard copy in Rajuk, soft copies of those documents now can be sent by online.
The minister said, “We are not owners but servants of people of the country. We started these systems to bring out Rajuk from bad reputations and criticisms.”
Rajuk Chairman Abdur Rahman presided over the programme. Secretary of the ministry Shahidullah Khandakar, Additional Secretary Akhtar Hossain and Yakub Ali Patwary among others, were present.
