Before 1971, Sabina Yasmin’s sister Fawzia Khan first lent her vocal for the song titled Ja Jare Jare Pakhi under Sheikh Sadi’s music composition.
In 1968, late Abdul Jabbar and Arati Dhar rendered a song under Sheikh Sadi’s composition in Mostafa Kamal Syed produced TV’s programme titled Sur Sagor. In HMV, Shawkat Hayat Khan and Moushumi Kabir rendered four songs under Sadi’s composition. In 1980, he worked as music director in late Abdullah Al Mamun’s movie Ekhon-e Somoy. Two play-back songs of this film titled Jibon Mane Jontrona in voice of Sabina Yasmin and Ekta Dolna Jodi in voice of Abida Sultana brought Sheikh Sadi Khan into limelight as music director.
Sheikh Sadi Khan worked as music director in 105 cinemas and also composed more than 8,000 songs till now. He got the National Film Award for tow times for Kazi Morshed-directed movie Ghani and Jakir Hossain Razu-directed Bhalobasley Ghor Bandha Jaina. He got Ekushey Award in 2018. He last worked as music director for films Bandhob and Padmar Prem.

According to this legendary music composer, there is no special arrangement to celebrate his birthday. He will pass the day with his family.
While talking in this regard he said, “In fact, I have stepped into 70. I may not be alive many years but I have many dreams to fulfill. I couldn’t get the opportunity to do these. I have nice plans. If I complete these works our music industry will surely enrich in the long run.” Sheikh Sadi Khan is passing days with his wife Rawshan Ara, son Rawnak Ferdous Khan and daughter Sagufta Zabin.
