The 58th birth anniversary of martyred Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been celebrated by Chitalmari Upazila Administration.
Under the leadership of Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Liton Ali, a wreath was laid at the portrait of martyred Sheikh Russell at the Upazila Parishad premises. Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashok Kumar Baral was present as the guest of honor at the discussion meeting chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Liton Ali.
Among others, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Jannatul Afroz Swarna, Upazila Parishad Women Vice Chairman Sabera Kamal Swapna, Upazila Fisheries Officer Zillur Rahman Regan, Police Inspector (Investigation) of Chitalmari Thana Mohammad Ikram Hossain and Secondary Education Officer Mofizur Rahman were also present.
As part of the celebration of the day, quiz competitions and present speeches were held among the students of Sheikh Russell Digital Lab.
