Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra eased past Uttar Baridhara Club by 5-1 goals in their second leg match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday.
After yesterday’s outcome, Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra (KC) have taken the seventh spot in the points table collecting 33 points from 22 matches, while Uttar Baridhara Club have taken 11th position with 19 points from 23 outings.
Sheikh Russel led the first half 4-0. Sheikh Russel dominated Uttar Baridhara Club from the very beginning of the match.
Sheikh Russel’s Nigerian recruit Obi Moneke put his team ahead in the 24th minute of the game.
Sheikh Russel’s Kyrgyz recruit Bakhtiyar made it 2-0 by a penalty kick in the 33rd minute of the clash.
Rumon Hossain of Sheikh Russel KC increased the tally into 3-0 in the 35th minute of the match.
Bakhtiyar scored his second goal in the injury time of the first half. After the intermission, Obi Moneke made it 5-0 in the 57th minute of the clash.
Sumon Reza of Uttar Baridhara Club scored the consolation by a spot-kick in the 80th minute of the match.
Earlier, Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra beat Uttar Baridhara Club by 2-1 goals in their first leg match at Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master Stadium in Tongi, Gazipur.
