Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra crushed Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra 5-1 in the second leg match of the Manyavar Bangladesh Premier Football League at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday.
Enamul Haque put Muktijoddha ahead in the very 8th minute of the match utilising a cut back pass off their Senegalese forward Camar Sarba, Enamul placed the ball into the near post, receiving the ball with the chest, 1-0.
Cameroonian forward Jean Jules Ikanga leveled the lead margin for
Russel in the 17th minute by a penalty shot.
Referee awarded a penalty to Russel as Muktijoddha goalie Titumir Chowdhury brought Zahid Hassan Emily down inside the box, Ikanga successfully converted the penalty deceiving Titumir, 1-1.
Russel doubled the lead in the 22nd minute. Nigerian forward Paul Emile snatched the ball from Muktijoddha defender Anisur Alam Sweet and beat Titumir in the far post by a neat grounder, 2-1.
Russel winger Zahid Hossain extended the lead in the 56th minute by a superb solo effort, Zahid produced a footwork to go past three defenders and coolly placed the ball past Titumir, 3-1.
Utiliaing a square pass off Zahid Hossain in the middle of the box, Paul Emile netted his second and team’s fourth in the 61st minute, placing the ball into the far post, 4-1.
Substitute forward Rummon Hossain scored the fifth by a neat placing shot in the 86th minute from the middle of the box, off a Zahid Hossain curved cross, 5-1.
With this result, Sheikh Russel earned 29 points from 13 matches while Muktijoddha bagged 21 points from 14 matches.
