Sheikh Russel Krira Chakara Ltd and Chittagong Abahani Ltd played 2-2 draw in the opening match of the Airtel Under-18 Football Tournament at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday.
Sumon scored for Ctg Abahani in the 13th and 53rd minute of the match while Masud scored for SK Russel in the 22nd and 90+1 minute.
A total of nine teams are taking part in this age tournament splitting into two groups.
Abahani and Mohammedan placed in group B along with Feni Soccer Club, Brothers Union and newly relegated Uttar Baridhara Club. Sheikh Russell and Muktijoddha SKC are in the group A with Team BJMC and Chittagong Abahani.
Each team will receive Tk 3 lakh for participating the tournament while the champion and runner-up teams will receive Tk 50,000 and Tk 25,000 respectively.
