Sheikh Jamal reach final beating Sheikh Russel

Defending champions Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, coming from behind, moved into the final of the Federation Cup Football with all-win record eliminating Sheikh Russel KC by 2-1 goals in the first semifinal at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Sunday.
Sheikh Jamal will play the final on Thursday against the winner of the second semifinal between Dhaka Mohammedan SC and Muktijoddha Sangsad KC to be held on Monday.
In the first semifinal, defender Nasiruddin Chowdhury and Nigerian forward Emeka Darlington scored one each for Sheikh Jamal DC in the 2nd half while striker Zahid Hasan Emily netted the lone goal for Sheikh Russel KC in the first half.
Sheikh Russel KC got the penalty in the 30th minute when their Nigerian forward Kingsley Chigozie was brought down by Sheikh Jamal defender Yeamin Munna in the danger zone and striker Zahid Hasan Emily converted the spot kick correctly (1-0).
Defender Nasiruddin Chowdhury brought Sheikh Jamal back into the match in the 62nd minute by an angular shot off a pass of Wedson Anselme (1-1).
Emeka Darlington scored the match-winning goal for Sheikh Jamal KC in the 89th minute by a clever header, capitalising on a left wing curve cross from Haitian forward Wedson (2-1).
Earlier in the 21st minute, Jamal skipper Mamunul Islam curved a corner from the right hand flag and Emeka Darlington headed the ball just outside the side post.
Jamal’s Haitian forward Leonel Preux sent a neat cross in the 30th minute to his compatriot Wedson Anselme but Wedson headed the ball over.
In the last minute of the first half, Kingsley Chigozie hit the Jamal side post with a low grounder.
