Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited continued their winning run in the Manyavar Bangladesh Premier Football League (BPFL) beating Rahamatganj Muslim and Friends Society by 2-1 goals held on Saturday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
In the day’s match, Sheikh Jamal went ahead in the 31st minute as Kasto Kumar’s placing shot found the net off a low cross from Linkon (1-0).
Haitian striker Wedson Anselme saw his placing shot inside edge of the crosspiece in the 34th minute.
After the resumption, Nigerian striker Emeka Darlington increased the margin double for Sheikh Jamal in the in the 59th minute from a penalty. Defender Sumon Day brought down Darlington in the danger zone and Referee whistled for spot kick. Darlington made no mistake to convert the spot kick (2-0).
Old Dhaka ‘outfit’ Rahmatganj MFS pulled one back in the 78th minute through their forward Mannaf Rabby. After receiving a through pass from midfielder M Arafat Mannaf brilliantly placed the ball home giving no chance to Sheikh Jamal custodian Mazharul Islam under the bar (2-1).
