Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited came from behind and defeated Bangladesh Police Football Club by 2-1 goals in their second leg match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday.
After yesterday’s outcome, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited have taken the second spot in the points table bagging 45 points from 21 matches, while Bangladesh Police Football Club have taken the eighth position in the points table earning 22 points from as many matches.
Police Football Club’s Kyrgyz recruit Akhmedov put his team ahead by a power-packed left-footer in the 19th minute of the first half.
Police’s joy was short-lived as their defender Sajeeb scored an own goal in the 21st minute of the play.
