Sheikh Hasina’s Homecoming Day observed

The 35th Homecoming Day of Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was observed yesterday with elaborate programmes.
Marking the day, the ruling Awami League, its associate bodies and other organisations placed wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, held discussions, milad and doa mahfils and distributed food among the orphans.
In the morning, national and party flags were hoisted atop of Awami League offices throughout the country.
Leaders and workers of
Awami League (AL), its associate bodies and other organisations placed wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi’s Bangabandhu Memorial Museum around 9 am.
AL Advisory Council members Tofail Ahmed and Amir Hossain Amu, presidium members Begum Matia Chowdhury and Satish Chandra Roy, Railway Minister Mujibul Haque, joint general secretary Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Organising Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim and Deputy Secretary for Publicity and Publication Affairs Asim Kumar Ukil were present on the occasion.
