A total of 60 sheep were distributed among 20 farmers in Barkol Upazila of the district yesterday.
Deputy Commissioner of Rangamati Md Manjarul Mannan handed over the sheep among the farmers here at district Livestock Department office.
Livestock officer AHM Monoar Hossain presided over the meeting where Project Director Md Habibur Rahman, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mrs Sumoni Akter, district livestock officer Md Shakhawat Hossain spoke on the occasion.
The speakers said more sheep would be distributed in future here. Rangamati is a suitable place for the sheep.
