Abu Sayed Md. Shaykhul Islam, FCMA has been elected President of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) in its meeting held on Monday.
The Council also elected Arif Khan, FCMA and Jamal Ahmed Choudhury, FCMA, Vice-Presidents, Md Abdur Rahman Khan, FCMA Secretary and Prof Dr Swapan Kumar Bala, FCMA Treasurer of the institute.
Prior, Shaykhul Islam was Vice-President of ICMAB for two terms. He was also Secretary as well as Chairman of Dhaka Branch Council of ICMAB. He is currently working as “Director, Operation and Finance” in Radiance Group.
Arif Khan is a Commissioner of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission. Previously he served ICMAB as Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer in different terms while Jamal Ahmed Choudhury served as Secretary of ICMAB and also Chairman of Dhaka Branch Council of ICMAB. He is Executive Director, Accounts and Finance, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
Md Abdur Rahman Khan is the First Secretary (Tax Policy) of National Board of Revenue. Previously, he served ICMAB as Treasurer and Vice-Chairman of Dhaka Branch Council.
Prof Dr Swapan Kumar Bala is the Managing Director of Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited and a Professor of Dhaka University. Prior, he served ICMAB as Chairman of Dhaka Branch Council.
