Sharmita Ahmed Lia, a fourth year student of Soil, Water and Environ Department of Dhaka University (DU) and Khadija Parvin, an M Phil student of Communication Disorder Department emerged as the joint-champion of the 55th Annual Sports Competition of Rokeya Hall of Dhaka University on Sunday. The sports meet was held at the Jagannath Hall Ground of DU.
Meanwhile, Laboni Islam Chumki, a third year student of History Department became runner-up in the sports competition.
After the competition, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of Dhaka University Professor Dr Nasreen Ahmad distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest. Provost of Rokeya Hall Professor Dr Najma Shaheen, House Tutor of the Hall, senior teachers of DU and the officials of DU were present at the time.
Earlier, Vice-Chancellor of DU Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the sports competition. Dean of Arts Faculty Professor Dr Md Akhteruzzaman was present with him.
