Brunel University, London, in the Summer Convocation Ceremony held on 11 July, 2017, ‘School of Law’ conferred Ph.D Degree upon Sharmin Chowdhury. In the Convocation Ceremony she has also been awarded ‘Deans Award’ for her Research Paper.
Earlier she obtained her LLB (Honours) from Dhaka University and LLM Degree from Manchester University, and since then she has been pursuing teaching profession in England.
She is wife of Gerglely Anders Hamvas, an officer of Barclays Bank, Daughter of M Shahidul Islam Chowdhury, former IGP and sister of Dr. M Shoaib Chowdhury, Asstt. Professor, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
