Yesterday was World Mother’s Day. To mark the day, noted actress Sharmily Ahmed and mother of popular film actor Ferdous, Asia Ashraf received a special honour at a function yesterday.
They got this honour at Ayesha Memorial Specialised Hospital in Mohakhali under the initiative taken by the hospital’s director Dr Ashis Kumar Chakraborty.
Sharmily Ahmed and Asia Ashraf received the honour from noted educationist Dr Anisuzzaman.
It may be mentioned that this special honour was also given to noted litterateur Rabeya Khatun, one of the initiators of the Liberation War and women entrepreneur Maleka Khan and one of the talents’ mother Sanwara Begum in the programme.
