Shapla Juba Kallayn Sangha beat The Morning Sporting Club by 2-1 goals in the opener of the Hill Tracts Zila Parishad Under-16 Gold Cup Football Tournament at Rangamati Ching La Mong Marie Stadium on Saturday.
State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing inaugurated the tournament as the chief guest.
The inaugural ceremony started with a colourful display of cultural heritage.
A total of 13-team are taking part in the tournament, jointly organised by District Sports Association (DSA) and District Football Association (DFA) in association with the Hill Tracts Zila Parishad, Rangamati.
