Sheikh Arif Bulbon :For the first time in the country genetically story based a single episode play titled Homo Alien has been made yesterday.Directed by Russell Ahmed story of the play was written by Zainuddin Sunny. Promising TV actress Shanta Rahaman acted in role of an undercover government agent named Aroni in the play. For the first time, Shanta acted in such type of role in a play.While sharing her feeling acting in the play Shanta told this correspondent, “Basically I acted in role of an undercover government agent who works for a scientist, Abul Kalam Azad in the play Homo Alien. In fact, after listening the story of the play I agreed to work because it was not a traditional story, rather than story of the play is based on an exceptional tale. I have tried my level best to act in the play. I believe viewers will enjoy watching the play.”Shanta also informed that Abul Kalam Azad, Sharmin Zoha Shoshee, Kazi Ujjal, among others, also acted in the play besides her. Shoshee acted in Shanta’s parallel role in the play but her character was an anti-heroine. The play Homo Alien will be aired in any satellite channel soon, Shanta added.Now Shanta acting several serials – Nirbikar Manush, directing by Masud Mohiuddin, and Dibanishi, directing by Torongo Anwar – are being aired on ATN Bangla. Therefore, her acted another serial Daily Fright Night, directed by Tanim Rahman Angshu, is being aired on GTV now. Shanta also mentioned that she is also taking part in shooting of Ahmed Azim Titu’s serial titled Swapno Bilash right now.
