Besides hosting, she has more identities. She is also a model and TV actress. But she always feels comfortable in hosting. She also likes it. So, she always feels prefer to give her identity as a host. She also shows respect to it.
While talking in this regard Shanta Jahan told this correspondent, “It is Allah’s blessing that I get the opportunity to host country’s mentionable shows and programmes. I do not lobby for this. With my talent I have already established my position in this field. After doing this work organisers again contact with me for their next programmes. It is a great achievement for me. I want to continue this work in the long run.”
Shanta Jahan was first seen to act in Mabrur Rashid Bannah’s Nine & Half. Later, she also acted in other plays. She last acted in Ezaz Munna’s drama serial Bou Bibi Begum. As a model, she performed in more than 30 TV commercials. As a model she came into limelight to perform in TVC of bKash.
Hailed from Miazi House of Damudya upazila of Shariatpur Shanta is a daughter of Abdus Sattar and Jahanara Begum. She is not only engaged with hosting but also doing activities for the street children for last five years. To ensure their shelter, food and education, Shanta has been working effortlessly.
Shanta is also hosting TV shows regularly now. She is hosting Banglavision’s Sokal Belar Roddur, ATN Bangla’s Swarnali Shadakalo for last six years, News24’s Sotorko Sangket, Channel 24’s Boka Baksher Addakhana and special days’ programmes of SA TV.
