Shanta Islam again in discussion after come back to media

Shanta Islam is at a time an actress, playwright, lyricist, play director and anchor. Besides these, she is also a social worker. After taking a few years break, National Film Award winner actress Shanta Islam has returned to anchoring. Under her planning, direction and anchoring a new show titled Life Is Beautiful has started to air on RTV where noted actor and director Afzal Hossain, actresses Zakia Bari Mamo and Toma Mirza have already participated. Band artiste Shafin Ahmed will be seen in upcoming episode of the show. After airing three episodes, Shanta Islam has come into discussion among the viewers again. While talking about her new show, Life Is Beautiful Shanta Islam said, “After airing the show, I have to hear one thing that is Life Is Beuatiful is a show of classical presentation. The participant celebrities who attended this show they shared their struggling life and psychology. After watching this show, many viewers got inspirations in their lives. It is really a blessing to me. In the meantime, it is likeable matter for me that many persons want to show their interest to participate in this show. I am expressing my gratitude to them who are attending the show and also co-operating me in this regard. I am grateful to RTV authority to keep full confidence on me for arranging such a show. In fact, I think RTV is like own home. Life Is Beautiful is being aired on RTV every Sunday at 7:30pm.”
Shanta Islam also said that she is wearing own designed sarees while anchoring this show. Emon Saha has composed title music of the programme. Two years ago, Shanta Islam last anchored a show on RTV titled Dhrupodi Kahini. Under her planning, direction and anchoring, on ATN Bangla Shuvo Sokal was aired firstly. It was her first anchoring TV show. In 1985, Zia Ansari produced Obhijog was Shanta Islam acted her first TV drama. Syed Ahsan Ali Sydney acted against her in the drama. During that time, Shanta Islam was a student of University of Dhaka. Ogo Bodhu Sundori was Shanta directed first TV drama. By acting in this drama, film actors Riaz and Purnima for the first time paired up in small screen. In 1983, she came into limelight to act in a theatre play Juddho Ebong Juddho, directed by Tariq Anam Khan, under the banner of Theatre. She got the National Film Award for acting in Sheikh Niamat Ali’s Annyo Jibon.
