Top order batsman Shamsur Rahman said although they trailed the three-match ODI series 0-1, but they still have chance to fight back in the series against Sri Lanka.
“There are still two matches in hand and it’s possible to fight back in the series,” said Shamsur to newsmen after the practice session at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium here.
The right-handed batsmen also blamed their misfortune for their previous defeats as he said they lost the matches despite come closer of win indeed lady luck did not favor them.
He also blamed their poor fielding and irresponsible batting of their team that resulted the team’s shocking defeat in the first ODI. The dependable batsman said they want to look forward for the second match taking lesion from their previous mistakes that they committed in the first match.
Shamsur, who scored his second career ODI half century in the first match, said they just want to concentrate in the second ODI to fight back in the series after forgetting the previous mistakes.
Tamim Iqbal and Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, who missed the first match due to injury, have possibility to play in the second match but all would be cleared after the team management meeting.
