Opener Tamim Iqbal and Shakib l Hasan set a highest 155-run fourth wicket partnership against Australia during the first day in the first Test of the two-match series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
It was the Bangladesh’s highest partnership in Test format against Australia and second highest in any partnership against Australia.
Earlier, Bangladesh’s the highest fourth wicket Test partnership against Australia was 50 runs. Shahriar Nafees and Mohammad Ashraful made the partnership in the third innings of Chittagong Test back in 2006.
