Shakib starts practice at SBNCS

Best ODI all-rounder of world cricket Shakib Al Hasan started practice at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) on Thursday. Shakib joined the unofficial practice session with his teammates Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mominul Haque, Mahmudullah Riyad.
West Indies Cricket team will arrive in the city on January 10 to play three ODI matches and two Test matches against Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Cricket team will return to the international cricket after ten months due to coronavirus pandemic. So, all the cricketers of Red & Green out-fit are very serious. The official practice session is scheduled to start from January 10. But some cricketers have started their individual practice before starting the official coaching camp.
Shakib Al Hasan was banned by International Cricket Council (ICC) for one year as he was failed to disclose the corrupt approaches to the authority. Shakib took part in an intensive cricket coaching under his mentors Nazmul Abdin Fahim and Mohammad Salahuddin at the BKSP Ground in savar.
After withdrawal of his ban, Shakib Al Hasan went to United States of America (USA) to spend his time with his family. Then he participated in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup Cricket. But he could not show a respectable performance in that tournament. He scored 110 runs and captured six wickets playing nine matches. That means he did not get his original rhythm due to absence of cricket competitions for a year.
Later, Shakib left the city for USA to see his father-in-law, who was suffering from illness. His father-in-law had died before he reached USA. Shakib returned home on Sunday last. He has been included in the 24-member preliminary ODI squad and 20-member Test squad. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Monday last the squads.
The cricket fans are eagerly waiting to watch a respectable performance from the left-hand ace all-rounder.
It may be mentioned that earlier, Shakib shone with the willow and cherry for Bangladesh and Bangladesh earned their first Test victory in abroad. Bangladesh beat West Indies in Caribbean Island before one era. Can Shakib repeat his performance at his home grounds against West Indies?
The 16 crore cricket lovers of the country are waiting to watch such kind of performance from Shakib Al Hasan.
