Shakib becomes ACC ‘goodwill ambassador’

All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has become an Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) goodwill ambassador to campaign against corruption.
The signing ceremony was held at the ACC’s office at Segun Bagicha in Dhaka on Sunday. Shakib
Al Hasan and ACC Director General (Resistance) Mohammad Zafar Iqbal signed the contract.
ACC Chairman Iqbal Mahmud said “All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is a pride of our country. Shakib is the best in the world today with his talent, dedication and genuine efforts. If teenagers and young people of our country try to follow him, they too can be successful in their respective fields.”
The ACC boss said “Corruption is the biggest problem in our country. To overcome this problem, we must put all the power against corruption. We can’t sacrifice our next generation’s future for some corrupt people. The Commission will use all the power against the corrupt people in collaboration with everyone.”
He said “If corruption can be prevented, the country will be developed, people’s quality of life will improve, and hunger and poverty-free society will be built.” Iqbal Mahmud said “The source of all the energy of the society is youth society. If the youth community takes a firm stand against corruption like Shakib Al Hasan, there will be no corruption in the society.” ACC goodwill ambassador Shakib Al Hasan said “I am proud to be able to work with an organization like the Anti-Corruption Commission. If a person is benefited by my efforts ending the corruption, then I will feel successful.”
He said, “From today, I started the new journey to build a corruption-free country. We will work jointly for the development of the country without corruption.”
