Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is totally free now.
Shakib Al Hasan was banned by International Cricket Council (ICC) for one year as he failed to report corrupt approaches to the authority.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) banned Bangladesh all-rouder Shakib Al Hasan from all sorts of cricket for two years, with one year of that suspended, after he accepted three charges of breaching the ICC Anti-Corruption Code last year. Shakib was banned on October 28 last year and his suspension is withdrawn automatically.
Shakib Al Hasan, his wife and his two children are now staying at United States of America. Senior Media Manager of the Bangladesh Cricket Board Rabeed Imam said to this Reporter on Thursday, ” Shakib Al Hasan will return to the capital in the first week of November.”
Shakib Al Hasan can now take part in all kind of cricket (domestic and international) competitions. He will compete in Bangabandhu T20 Cup, which begins on November 15. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will organise the cricket meet. A total of five teams will participate in the cricket competition.
The 33-year all-rounder could not take part 14 matches due to his suspension. He missed four Test matches, three ODI matches and seven T20I matches. It may be mentioned that due to coronavirus outbreak, Shakib missed 14 matches. Otherwise, he would miss more competitions.
